“Praise be to the Lord, to God our savior, who daily bears our burdens.” Psalm 68:19

This is probably one of the most comforting verses in the entire Bible, especially for times of depression and despair. If you read my last post on casting your cares on God, this post goes along with that one.  I often get burdened by things, especially in the area of work.  Since I’m somewhat of an entrepreneur, I often start new projects with great enthusiasm.  But then, somewhere along the line, things will begin to fall apart and I’ll lose all motivation to continue.  It’s during those times that I cry out to God to encourage me and thank Him that He is a God who daily bears my burdens.  The verse in 1 Peter that I wrote about last time is another one that I call out to God during times of discouragement and despair.  Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.

If you don’t know that God is a God who daily bears your burdens, then I don’t know how you can ever hope to keep yourself from depression and despair when things in life start to go all wrong.  For me, when I thank God that He is a God who daily bears my burdens and I cast all my cares on Him to help me bear them, I get a great sense of peace and the encouragement I need to keep my heart from depression and despair.  I hope that this will encourage you and that you will thank God for being a God who daily bears your burdens and that you’ll cast all your cares on Him and ask Him to help you bear them.
